Your string manufacturer for over 40 years KIRSCHBAUM STRINGS & GRIPS

Since its foundation in 1987, the string manufacturer Kirschbaum strings & grips has established a stable market position both nationally and internationally, with steadily growing sales figures. Whilst in the early years production was primarily aimed at supplying well-known racket manufacturers, the Kirschbaum strings & grips brand subsequently established itself as a guarantee of high-quality tennis strings, particularly monofilament polyester strings (PET). To this end, the company developed and manufactured its own patents and machines for surface finishing in cooperation with tennis players and research institutes.

The company has been run by the Kirschbaum family since its foundation. Company founder Horst J. Kirschbaum initially started the business with his wife Ute Kirschbaum and a small team of employees. In 1991, his daughter Sandra Kirschbaum joined the company after completing her studies and, alongside the German sales network, rapidly expanded the international distribution network worldwide. Sandra’s husband, Thomas M. Kirschbaum-Wellach, also joined the company. Since the death of Horst J. Kirschbaum in 2010, Sandra Kirschbaum has been running the company as sole managing director. And who knows, perhaps one of their two children will successfully carry on the business into its third generation in the future.
